The world's first cryptocurrency created in 2009, Bitcoin was created by Satoshi Nakamoto, a pseudonym for one or a group of people responsible for creating Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a digital currency that operates independently of any central control. Transactions are conducted using peer-to-peer software and cryptography. Transaction data is stored on all computers connected to the network.

Each Bitcoin is divided into 100,000,000 units called satoshi.
