Carbon neutrality is the term used to describe the zero balance between produced and offset (neutralized) greenhouse gas emissions. Carbon neutrality can be achieved by, among others, offsetting the unavoidable CO2e emissions with carbon offsets. Once a balance is achieved, i.e. a result equal to zero, the product or service can be said to be carbon neutral.
