Carbon neutral hosting is a hosting service for which the carbon footprint has been fully neutralized using carbon offsets.
To call a hosting carbon neutral, one must first accurately count its carbon footprint, then reduce those emissions that can be reduced over the lifecycle of the service, and then neutralize the residue with carbon offsets.
