Energy efficiency

From TerGoPedia

Energy efficiency is the ratio of the results obtained (services, goods, facilities, installations, equipment) under typical conditions of use or operation to the energy input. Energy efficiency aims to reduce the amount of energy required to provide products and services. Activities for this purpose consist of making changes or improvements that lower operating costs and reduce primary energy consumption.

Improving energy efficiency is one method of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and energy costs.

Energy efficiency and renewable energy are considered twin pillars of sustainable energy policy.
