European Green Deal

From TerGoPedia

Prepared by the European Commission plan for Europe becoming a climate-neutral continent by 2050. It is designed to help transform the EU into a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy:

  • which 2050 will achieve zero net greenhouse gas emissions
  • in which there will be a decoupling of economic growth from resource consumption
  • in which no individual or region will be left behind.

The package of legislative proposals for the European Green Deal will align the EU's climate, energy, transportation and tax policies for the goal of reducing net greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55 percent by 2030 compared to 1990 levels.
