Linear economy

A traditional (practiced since the Industrial Revolution) model of resource use is the opposite of the circular economy. It can be sup up to the slogan "take-make-waste"[1]. It involves extracting raw materials, processing them into final products, using the products for a certain time by consumers, and then disposing of (landfilling or incinerating) them without attempting to recover secondary raw materials and putting the products (or parts of them) into a second cycle.
The model increases the demand for the extraction of primary raw materials, which can ultimately lead to their complete depletion.
