REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) are emission reduction credits that contribute to sustainable forest management and conservation and enhancement of forest carbon stocks.
In other words: REDD+ are instruments representing greenhouse gas emission reductions achieved through the implementation of conservation activities and avoided emissions resulting from project activities.
