Renewable Energy / Green Energy
From TerGoPedia
Energy derived from renewable sources, i.e., naturally replenished and/or inexhaustible by humans, such as:
- biofuels
- biomass
- biogas
- carbon-neutral fuel
- geothermal sources
- hydroelectric power plants
- offshore power plants
- photovoltaics
- tidal power plants
- wave power plants
- wind power plants
Most energy sources can also be classified as sustainable sources (except for biomass, for example, the production of which raises some concerns). Currently, mankind covers around 20% of its energy requirements from renewable sources.
