UNEP/GRID-Warsaw Centre

A Warsaw branch of the United Nations Environment Programme, belonging to the international GRID (Global Resource Information Database) network.

The centre was established in 1991 in cooperation between the United Nations and the Ministry of Climate and Environment in Poland. It is a specialized unit closely cooperating with the UN in collecting, processing, and disseminating environmental data in Poland and Eastern Europe.

The UNEP/GRID-Warsaw Centre's activities are oriented towards effective environmental resource management. The centre works closely with institutions and organizations in Poland and abroad.
