Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)

Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), carbon sequestration is a naturally occurring process of capturing carbon dioxide from exhaust gases and storing it in the soil or vegetation (see: forest planting projects) so that it does not enter the atmosphere. Sequestration activities aim to mitigate the impact of carbon dioxide emissions on global warming and ocean acidification.
